The Site
Par is a standard to be achieved. In golf, it is measured in strokes. In life, I believe, it is the measure of what we add to this world versus what we take. Paying your own way, so to speak. The path to success for both rests upon a high degree of personal responsibility - a choice to rise above one's circumstances and demonstrate the ownership necessary for achieving desired results - as part of a set of foundational core values. Path to Par is dedicated to the successful journey to achieving par, in life as well as golf.
The Author
My name is Mike Jones, aka MJ, and I live in upstate New York, northeast of Albany, with my lovely wife surrounded by a dozen or so children and grandchildren. For the last two decades, I have enjoyed a career within the manufacturing sector at a tier one automotive supplier working my way up to middle management. Prior to that, I proudly served my country for nearly nine years as a member of the U.S. Air Force. When I am not managing the middle, spending time with family, or doing chores around the homestead, I enjoy working on my golf game and learning a little about everything. I am not a journalist, politician, or scholar but I am an independent thinker examining the facts to uncover real answers invariably found between the two extremes.
